ROK Egg Scandal: South Korea to destroy tainted eggs
South Korean President Moon Jae-in has ordered a nationwide inspection of all egg farms in the country, after eggs tainted with fipronil were discovered at a farm in Gyeonggi province near Seoul.
The inspection and destruction of all contaminated eggs are expected to be completed by Friday. Three major discount chain operators have decided to stop selling eggs until the government's inspection has been completed.
