Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's most renowned feature is its dramatic terrain. The karst landforms in the west, southwest and northeast of Guangxi cover roughly 90,000 square kilometers and account for 38.5 percent of the province's total area. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and celebrations are scheduled for December.
