Leaders of the world's major economies gathered in Buenos Aires from November 30 to December 1 at the Group of Twenty (G20) summit under the theme "Building Consensus for Fair and Sustainable Development."
The summit in the Argentine capital came amid ongoing trade frictions between major economies, uncertainty over oil prices and new tensions between Russia and Ukraine. Chinese President Xi Jinping met U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the summit, and the two leaders raised hopes when they agreed to a trade truce.
