Flash floods tore through towns in the south of France, turning waterways into raging torrents that killed at least 13 people, nine of them in just one town. Drone video showed the Orbieu River overflowing dangerously near the southeastern town of Ribaute, after reportedly rising from half a meter to three meters high. Meanwhile, in the town of Villegailhenc, BFMTV broadcast pictures showing a collapsed bridge, destroyed by flash floods.
