Under the theme "Live Green, Live Better," the 30-day countdown to the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition (Beijing Expo) starts today. The park builders are pressing ahead with the preparatory work before the grand opening.
The expo, which highlights China's ecological achievements and deeply integrates the horticultural traditions of countries around the world, will feature 23 international organizations and more than 120 non-official exhibitors when it opens.

The expo site has taken shape.
The China Pavilion and International Pavilion are putting the final touches on their indoor arrangements.
The exhibition area will hold 41 outdoor gardens, which includes 34 independent exhibition gardens and seven joint exhibition gardens.

According to the committee, there will be more than 2,500 activities, allowing for more interaction, viewer participation and learning opportunities for guests.
The event will feature 1,200 species of plants.

There will be more than 100 distinct horticultural gardens from home and abroad, including corporate gardens, specialized gardens, fruit gardens, vegetable gardens and herbal gardens.
The Beijing Expo runs from April 29 to October 7, 2019.
