We continue with our World Cup 2018 coverage of Diego Maradona and the highlights from his World Cup program, “By the Hand of the Ten”. The Argentina legend dissects this evening's semifinal. The 1986 World Cup winner breaks down the strong points of both sides, and shares his observations on some key players from each team.
Maradona felt that England have a very good amount of "young legs." Sterling, Alli, Kane and Walker, as well as their strong defense make the Three Lions potent. England can boast many attacking combinations.
And, on Croatia’s side, Maradona compares the style of Blazers captain Modric to Italian great Andrea Pirlo. Croatia’s strength is mainly its midfield which features both Real Madrid’s Luka Modric and Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic. The squad is packed with experience and there is a feeling among the players the team can win and make it to its first ever World Cup final.
