Britain, France and Germany have launched a new scheme called INSTEX -- short for Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges. The special payment system will help allow Tehran to keep trading with EU companies, and was originally intended to allow Iran to sell oil to the EU on a barter basis. But in the early stages, it will focus on humanitarian goods, such as food and pharmaceutical products. But to what extent could this help Iran? And what's behind European countries' consideration?
