The wait is over! Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" debuts in China today. The action-thriller has garnered rave reviews and earned over 197 million US dollars since it opened in the US. Now, Chinese movie buffs can find this Hollywood blockbuster at their nearest cinema.   
Listed as the 18th-highest grossing film series of all times, "Mission: Impossible" has amassed a huge fan base in China and lead actor Tom Cruise is among the most popular Hollywood stars in China. Chinese fans affectionately call him "Brother Tang", Tang is the Chinese pronunciation for Tom.

"Mission: Impossible - Fallout" tells the story of Ethan Hunt and his team who work for the the Impossible Missions Force, also known as the IMF, and their race against time after a secret mission goes awry.
The movie is packed with heart-thumping action sequences and has been positively reviewed on Douban, a Rotten Tomatoes-like Chinese social networking service.

Tom Cruise attended the Beijing premiere of the film on Wednesday and shared hilarious behind the scene stories with Chinese fans. He even brushed up his Mandarin a bit as he learned to say "I love you guys" in Chinese to thank his fans for their support.
Director Christopher McQuarrie, actors Simon Pegg and Henry Cavill also attended the premiere.
Director McQuarrie revealed the five most dangerous stunts performed by the actor, including the scene in which he's hanging onto an Airbus as it takes off.

Cruise, known for doing his own movie stunts, underwent rigorous training for a year and a half to pull off the helicopter chase sequence all by himself without a stuntman.
