The latest film in Tom Cruise's Hollywood spy franchise, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, will debut in Chinese mainland cinemas on August 31, the film's Chinese distributors announced on Monday.
The film's Chinese trailer and a series of posters featuring Cruise and his team members taking part in a thrilling car chase and fight scenes were also released that same day.
The film debuted outside of China on Friday, pulling in 61.5 million US dollars in North America and a total of 153 million dollars worldwide over the weekend - the highest-earning opening for the franchise.

The film's performance in China, the world's second-largest film market, is sure to turn investors' heads.
Rogue Nation, the previous film in the series, grabbed a total of 870 million yuan (127 million dollars) in the Chinese mainland in 2015 to rank at No.11 on the mainland box-office chart.
The franchise's fourth film, Ghost Protocol, was the fourth highest-earning film in the Chinese mainland in 2012 garnering more than 672 million yuan.
