On the second day of the 2nd China Global Television Network (CGTN) Global Media Summit and the 8th Global Video Media Forum, CGTN's John Goodrich spoke with two visionary veterans of the media industry about their views on the future of video media.  
Greg Beitchman, vice president of CNN International content sales and partnerships, said that there is still a lot of room for stories from China due to the profundity of Chinese culture, adding that it's hard to cover the innumerable stories emanating from across China.   
Greg also expressed concerns over the future of traditional video media amidst the rise of new media, short video platforms, revealing the limitations confining the conventional media.

David Schlesinger, founder of Tripod Advisors, appealed the industry to pay more attention to true understandings of ordinary people and ordinary life. "Once you start to really dig down, you're coming to a better mutual understanding."
Speaking about the latest trend of amateur videos, he criticized the content of viral videos, saying that they are purely for entertainment and effective delivery of accurate information remains a challenge for such content providers.
