The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has accepted the list of journalists from the Republic of Korea (ROK) to cover the Punggye-ri nuclear test site demolition, according to the ROK's Unification Ministry. The reporters are expected to travel to Wonsan, a port city in the eastern part of the DPRK at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon.
The list had initially been rejected by the DPRK.

CGTN reporter Han Peng now in Wonsan, expecting to witness the dismantling of DPRK's nuclear site dismantlement

"At Tuesday noon we arrived here in the city of Wonsan, so we should be able to leave [for the actual nuclear site] Tuesday evening. Apparently, that didn't happen. It seems like the DPRK has changed its plan," Han said, adding that the DPRK's explanation for the delay is the bad weather, as it is raining heavily in the northern part of the country and may affect transportation.

The group of foreign journalists, including a CGTN team, left Beijing Capital International Airport on Tuesday morning to Wonsan in the DPRK, under the invitation of the DPRK government. They departed under flashing cameras from a huge crowd of media outlets from across the world.
Han said the DPRK may reveal further confirmed details on when to send the reporters to the actual nuclear site later Wednesday afternoon. Stay with CGTN for the latest.
