The first navigable span of China's first highway-railway cross-sea bridge has officially been linked up in east China's Fujian Province. A 470-tonne steel truss beam was hoisted to the connection position about 75 meters above the sea and fixed with drift pins, successfully completing the closure. The Pingtan Strait Bridge is expected to be completed in 2019.
