Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Beijing on Thursday. Xi said China and Vietnam are a community of shared future with strategic significance. He also called for joint efforts to align the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) with Vietnam's "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan. The Vietnamese prime minister said his country is willing to step up efforts to align the plan with the BRI.
