Bautista Agut would stay competitive, and is able to bring his opponent to the net in the second, with a drop shot that opens up the court, and he is able to slice a winner into the corner for the point. The third would also need an extra session, and once again, the Spaniard is too good for the Frenchman. Monfils finds the net on match point, as Bautista Agut claims his first win over the Monfils in four attempts 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 and is into the quarter-finals.
