A former US federal prosecutor will serve as the legal monitor over Chinese telecoms giant ZTE, the US Commerce Department announced Friday.
The person in charge will be Roscoe Howard, a former chief federal prosecutor for the District of Columbia.
The US lifted sanctions on ZTE in July, three months after preventing US firms from selling parts to the Chinese company for alleged violations of the US sanctions against Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
