The unmanned city block driving competition, part of the World Intelligent Driving Challenge (WIDC) 2018, was held Thursday in Tianjin in northern China. The WIDC is an important section of the second World Intelligence Congress that opened in the municipality on Wednesday. The competition was more challenging than last year as the length of the course was increased from 3.4 kilometers to 10 kilometers and the scenarios were doubled to 28, including following other vehicles while keeping a safe distance.
