Millions across the world celebrated the triumphs and accomplishments of people with disabilities on Monday. For more than two decades, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities has been a special day in China. It was proclaimed by the United Nations in 1992 and has as its theme this year "Empowering Persons with Disabilities and Ensuring Inclusiveness and Equality."
