The CBA's second-longest winning streak has remained intact after the Beijing Ducks beat the Guangzhou Long-Lions 112-98 on Friday night.
The club from the Chinese capital extended their success upon returning from the FIBA Qualifying break and the players gave all the credit to hard-work as well as teamwork.
There has been one constant trait with the Beijing Ducks over the last two seasons, the unconditional expectation that every member of the squad needs to be ready to contribute at a moment's notice. And that mentality has truly been serving the squad well, so far in the current campaign.
Beijing's guard Aaron Jackson said, “We're gonna play team-orientated basketball, and we've been playing it for a year-and-a-half now, and I think they're finally getting to understand. They're used to it, they're getting their confidence, and they know when they're gonna get their shots, and where they're gonna get their shots, and it helps them. And it helps us, it helps Justin and me tremendously, and it helps the Beijing Ducks tremendously.”
Meanwhile, Beijing's center Justin Hamilton mentioned, “We started a little slow. I think it just took us a second to remember who we were, and so for us, we just had to settle down, and remember we're a defensive-minded team, and we play team basketball, and we share the ball around, and good things happen.”
