Is Ebola turning into 'perfect storm'?
The World Health Organization (WHO) expressed serious concerns over the Ebola virus outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), warning of a "perfect storm" of factors preventing its containment. The outbreak was reported about two months ago in the country's north-eastern border region of North Kivu, where more than 100 armed groups operate. A total of 100 Ebola deaths have been reported in the country, of which at least 69 have been confirmed and 31 are probable, according to a Sept. 23 situation report.
