The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge in east China's Jiangsu Province reopened to road traffic on Saturday after 26 months of renovation. Built in 1968, it is the country’s first self-designed and double-decked truss bridge. During the renovation, highway traffic on the upper deck was suspended while the railway on the lower deck continued operating. The bridge also made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest bridge with dual highway and railway functions.
