Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin held their final press conference ahead of Saturday's middleweight fight in Las Vagas. This will be their second bout after their last September's face off, which ended in a controversial draw, a contest both still believe they should have won.
The pair have frequently used the press conferences building up to the fight to take verbal jabs at each other, with the Kazakh Golovkin mentioning his opponent's doping ban on more than one occasion. The fight was billed for May, but the Mexican Alvarez's suspension meant it was put back until this month, and now the duo just can't wait to get between the ropes tomorrow to compete for Golovkin's WBA Super, WBC, and IBO middleweight titles, as well as the vacant Ring and Lineal belts.

Alvarez, who is contending for five middleweight titles, sounded the bugle, saying, “I'm ready and prepared to get right back in the ring on September 15th. If you've known me during my career, you know I don't like to talk. I do it in the ring, and I hope everyone enjoys the fight, for my fans and for Mexico.”
Meanwhile, Golovkin, the WBA/WBC/IBO middleweight champion, added: "I'm really happy because of this huge level for boxing. I'm very excited because so many people watch this fight, so many countries buy this translation, and it's an amazing time for us.”
