Spokesman of Sudan's Transitional Military Council Shams-Eddin Kabashi on Sunday said that a committee has been formed to take the headquarters and assets of the National Congress Party (NCP).
"A committee, entrusted with taking the headquarters and assets of the NCP, has embarked on its tasks," Kabashi said.
He excluded the NCP, which was led by former President Omar al-Bashir, from participating in the civilian government which will be formed.
The Sudanese Professionals' Association (SPA), which had demanded civilians be included on the transitional military council and for Bashir's close associates to leave, called for the arrest of prominent National Intelligence and Security Service generals, including its former head Salah Gosh, and for the removal of the prosecutor general.

It also called for the arrest of Bashir.
The spokesman further declared that the council would continue its campaign of arresting all people involved in corruption cases.
The military council announced a raft of new decisions including the retirement of Defense Minister Awad Ibn Auf. Ibn Auf, and his deputy, resigned as head of the transition council after they assumed the positions following Bashir's ouster.
The council also appointed Lieutenant General Abu Bakr Mustafa as intelligence chief, succeeding Salah Abdallah Mohamed Saleh, commonly known as Salah Gosh, who resigned on Friday.
Kabashi also excluded the use of force to disperse the sit-in of thousands of protesters in front of the army's general headquarters in Khartoum.
He urged people to help the military council bring life back to normal.
Sudan's Transitional Military Council is tasked with running the country's affairs following the ouster of Bashir's government.
