14 wounded as woman stabbed kindergarten children in Chongqing, SW China

14 children were stabbed by a woman at the gate of a kindergarten in the Banan district of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Friday morning, according to a statement issued by the local police.
The attack occurred at around 9:30 a.m. local time when the students led by teachers were on their way back to the kindergarten after morning exercise.
The suspect was put under control by the kindergarten's teachers and security guard shortly after the attack, and all the wounded have been sent to the hospital.
The motive of the attack remains unclear, and a further investigation is underway.
