In the ongoing Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league, defending champions Liaoning saw their 25-game winning streak coming to an end with a 120  112 defeat at home against Shenzhen on Tuesday.
The defeat came as a big dampener for the hosts after they witnessed a slew of positive outcomes early in the game as Guo Ailun surpassed 5,000 points for his career, Lester Hudson became the league's all-time leader in three-pointers and Zhao Jiwei returned from a long injury layoff.
Zhao made a comeback to the squad after being out of action for more than nine months.
The Leopards built on their lead early in the second quarter as Shen Zijie worked his way into the paint for two of his 14 points.

Liaoning tried to bounce back after half-time, as Brandon Bass tied things at 79 before Li Xiaoxu cut to the rack to make it 81-81.
In the fourth quarter, Hudson pulled off his 1,608th three-pointer in the CBA, breaking Zhu Fangyu's record.
In other action, Pooh Jeter scored 30 points, while Wang Zhelin added 28, in Fujian's win over Shanxi.
Six players reached double digits as Beijing topped Qingdao. Lei Meng's 24 helped Bayi stun Shandong and move out of the last place. Sonny Weems had 31, while Ren Junfei added 25, to pace league leaders Guangdong past Sichuan. Jimmer Fredette poured in 53 as Shanghai beat Tianjin. And Darius Adams tallied 47 as Xinjiang downed Guangsha.
