A total of 69 players have accepted invitations for the 2018 NBA draft combine, which will be held in Chicago from May 16 to May 20, according to a list released by the league on Friday. Some exciting names including Trae Young, Collin Sexton and Michael Porter Jr. are on the list.

19-year old Trae Young from the University of Oklahoma has the potential to become a great point guard with his excellent abilities of making stop-jump-shots, pick and roll, and creating opportunities for his teammates through passes. Young has scored 27.4 points, 8.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game with 42.2 percent for field goal and 36 percent for three pointers in the past season.
19-year old Michael Porter Jr. from University of Missouri has a height of 6 feet 10 inches and a wingspan of 7 feet, giving him a strong chance of moving forward in today's NBA. He is a reliable jump shooter with great athleticism, making him an outstanding finisher. Porter also has good continuous jumping ability, meaning he has the potential to become a qualified re-bounder.
Unfortunately two of the best candidates for No.1 pick, Deandre Ayton and Luka Doncic will not attend the draft combine in Chicago.
What will happen in the draft combine?

About 40 players on the list will be attending the 5-on-5 competitions. Others only plan to conduct medical evaluations, meet NBA teams for interviews, measurements, and, for some, to test their athleticism.
The participants on the list remain fluid since there are still candidates waiting for last-minute invitations. Moreover, some of those who are on the list may decide to quit the competitions, tests or the whole draft combine. As the NBA tends to invite the best players, names on the list as well as how they perform in Chicago can at least give us a peek into who has a better chance to be selected on June 21.
