A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off Taiwan around 5:46 p.m. BJT on Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The quake struck at a depth of 9 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the quake.
