More than 570 protesters were arrested and charged in Washington, DC on Thursday after they demonstrated inside a Senate office compound against US President Donald Trump’s treatment of migrant families. Demonstrations took place around the US over the administration's zero-tolerance immigration policy that led to family separations. The action lasted more than two hours. In a statement, the Capitol police said those arrested would be released after they were processed.
