A total of 66 people were injured from a blast caused by a gas leak in Bazhou City in north China's Hebei Province on Sunday, said local authorities on Tuesday.

The 66 people sustained burn injuries, with a few suffering severe burns, but no specific number was given.

All the injured are now receiving treatment in the hospital and are in stable condition.

The blast occurred when a tank at a local funeral dinner was lit up and exploded due to gas leak.

Two people were detained by police.
