China, Angola vow to take strategic partnership to a new level

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday met with Angola's President Joao Lourenco ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), calling for the efforts to jointly promote the strategic partnership to a new level.
Xi acknowledged the development of the two countries as both sides adhere to mutual respect and work together to develop a unique road of common development since 2010 when the strategic partnership was built.
Lourenco thanked China for the support of its social and economic development and wanted to deepen mutual trust and bilateral cooperation with China.
The two heads of state also jointly witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents.
