Arson suspect arrested after Guangdong KTV fire kills 18, injures 5

A fire that ripped through a KTV venue killed 18 people, 15 men and 3 women, and injured another five early Tuesday in Qingyuan City, south China's Guangdong Province, local police said.
All injured have been taken to the hospital, with two of them seriously wounded.
The blaze was reported at around 0:30 a.m. local time in a three-story building on Chayuan Road in Yingde City under Qingyuan, and it was extinguished in less than half an hour.

The fire is being treated as arson and the suspect has been identified as a 32-year-old man named Liu Chunlu, according to local police.
Liu set fire deliberately to the KTV venue after a quarrel with others, police said.
The suspect, fled the scene after injuring himself during the blaze. At 10:55 a.m. local time the city announced a 200,000-yuan reward for information leading to his capture.
