In the Chinese Super League on Sunday, Beijing Renhe were at home to Tianjin Quanjian, who came in hoping to regain their footing after Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel's midweek departure to Germany's Borussia Dortmund.
The hosts, on the other hand, got a boost from Kenyan striker Ayub Masika, who recently returned to the capital after a loan spell with second-tier Heilongjiang Lava Spring.
Tianjin entered looking to break a two-game losing streak, and Wang Xiaolong's first goal in four years gave them a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute.
Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato doubled Quanjian's edge 10 minutes later, and the away side seemed to be putting their struggles in the rearview mirror.

But Beijing came alive after halftime, as Nizamdin Ependi's effort bounced off Tianjin goalkeeper Zhang Lu, allowing Masika to poke the loose ball through for his first goal of the evening, as Renhe cut the gap to 2-1 in the 48th minute.
The team in orange tied it up when Senegalese forward Makhete Diop drilled home a penalty in the 65th minute.
Beijing had a chance to grab the lead five minutes later, as Nizamdin found Masika for his second goal of the night. Renhe completely flipped the script by taking a 3-2 lead.
The hosts had defender Liu Jian sent off in the 79th minute, and Quanjian capitalized with a high strike by Yang Xu in the 84th, as this match ended 3-3.
