The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league-leading Guangdong Southern Tigers crushed Jiangsu 142-105 at home on Sunday night. Fresh from their smashing 35-point victory over Shandong, another big win against the Dragons was on the cards as Malcolm Delaney and the eight-time champions began the game on top of the standings.
Four minutes into the game, three of Delaney's team-high 30 points put Guangdong ahead by 10. In the second quarter, Zhou Peng's turnaround jumper increased the lead to 18 for the Southern Tigers.
Less than a minute before half-time, Cao Fei's wayward pass was grabbed by Hu Mingxuan, before Sonny Weems found Yi Jianlian for the dunk, and two of his 24.
After the break, Weems fired across the court to Delaney, whose triple extended the lead to 31.

With his team extending their invincibility and the lead, 18-year-old Xu Jie was then sent on by Guangdong coach Du Feng.
Reserve center Wan Shengwei then cleaned up a Hu's miss and the Southern Tigers went on to win by 37.
Elsewhere, Guo Ailun scored 33 points as defending champions Liaoning beat Zhejiang for a team record of 18th straight win. Jilin dealt a fifth consecutive loss to Beikong. Qingdao got better of Bayi while Shandong stomped Fujian.
Aaron Jackson's 32 and Justin Hamilton's 29 helped Beijing hang a fifth consecutive defeat on Shanghai as Guangzhou topped Nanjing.
Thanks to their emphatic victory on Sunday, Guangdong stay one win ahead of Liaoning at the top of the table, with Guangsha and Shenzhen three further games adrift, and holding the other two first-round playoff byes.
Xinjiang sit one more off the pace, followed by Beijing. Shandong's win moves them back in front of Zhejiang, for the 12th and final spot in the postseason.
