Dozens of people, mostly school children, were kidnapped on Monday in the northwest Cameroon city of Bamenda, Reuters reports, citing government and military sources. 

The principal was also among the hostages who were taken to a bush, a military source told Reuters.

It remains unclear who was responsible for the kidnapping.
