‍April 23 marks World Book Day, an annual event designated by the UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and copyright. This year, anchors from the China Media Group will take you on a journey through the exquisite works of Shakespeare to explore the beauty of voices and language.
In the second episode, CGTN host Li Dongning reads “The Tragedy of Hamlet,” the first sentence of which is probably the most famous one among Chinese audiences – "To be, or not to be, that is the question."
Li is the anchor of a prime time news show "Global Watch," which gives viewers insights on global events shaping our world. Li, an experienced newswoman, joined China Central Television (CCTV) even before the establishment of CGTN (formerly CCTV-English). She started by anchoring and producing feature programs before taking on the current role.
