The UK will no longer be an EU member as of March 29, 2019. In a few days, MPs will vote again on Prime Minister Theresa May’s withdrawal deal, which satisfied European Union (EU) leaders but was met with sneers at home. In case the UK leaves without a deal, the EU has implemented a contingency plan to cushion the bloc. It covers 14 areas where a no-deal scenario would cause "major disruption for citizens and businesses". The UK is also preparing for a so-called "hard Brexit".
