Eight killed in flash floods in NW China

Eight people were killed in flash floods caused by heavy rainfalls in Baiyin city, northwest China’s Gansu Province by Friday morning. 
Several vehicles were swept into the Yellow River due to the flash floods, and six people were killed when a vehicle overturned. The bodies of two others were found as of 10 a.m. BJT, according to the local police. 
 The search-and-rescue operation is ongoing.
