One hundred and fifty sheep welcomed the arrival of the new imperial era "Reiwa" in Japan as new Emperor Naruhito attended various events at the Imperial Palace where his ascension took place. A farm theme park near Tokyo let a herd of hungry sheep feed in an area that was arranged to form the word "Reiwa." The herd will do so every day until May 31 to celebrate the ascension of Emperor Naruhito following the abdication of Akihito on April 30, which ended his 30-year reign.
