China is going to launch nine more Fengyun meteorological satellites in the next seven years. So far, it has successfully launched 17 Fengyun meteorological satellite series, eight of which are operating on orbits to send observation information and data on meteorology, ocean, forestry, agriculture and civil aviation to Earth.
