Located in the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve in southwestern China's Yunnan Province, the Asian Elephant Breeding and Rescue Center has been providing medical treatment and rehabilitation for the endangered wild Asian elephants for the past 11 years.
In this video, we are going to meet the young elephant Yang Niu and her "dad." Yang Niu was rescued as a calf when she was only a month old. The video was taken one year after she was rescued. Now, under the caring hands of her "dad" at the rescue center, she is healthy and thriving.
