At least 22 Afghan force personnel were killed and another 20 wounded after Taliban attacked the checkpoint in the country's northern province of Faryab late Saturday, according to local officials. 

Taliban attacked the checkpoint manned by police and pro-government militias late Saturday, setting off fierce gunbattles that lasted into Sunday Morning.
