The Emir of Kuwait Sabah will start an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping on July 7-10, Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

Xi will hold a welcome ceremony for Sabah during his visit. The two leaders will also attend a signing ceremony on China-Kuwait cooperation.

Both Xi and Sabah are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the 8th Ministerial Meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing on July 10.
