The leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un on Tuesday arrived in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, for his second summit with U.S. President Donald Trump, which is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

His motorcade, driving from the border town of Dong Dang, arrived at the city's Melia hotel at around 10:55 a.m. local time.

Kim left Pyongyang on Saturday and crossed into Vietnam on Tuesday morning after journeying aboard his personal train through China.

The DPRK leader was greeted by Vietnamese officials at the train station in Dong Dang and embarked on a 170 km journey to Hanoi by car.

He is expected to meet Trump for an initial one-on-one meeting on Wednesday evening in Hanoi followed by a dinner with advisers, according to the White House.
