A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit Gongxian County of Yibin City in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 08:48 a.m. local time on Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). The epicenter was recorded at a depth of 15km. There have been no immediate reports about casualties or damage caused by the quake.
