Amorous tree frog blows mating bubbles

In a sweltering summer night, a male tree frog is trying to attract a female with his exclamatory calls. He is desperately expanding his vocal sac which can amplify the sound in the throat region. By doing so, his voice is louder and can be heard more easily by a female tree frog.

This tree frog was found in the Daweishan National Forest Park in Yunnan, home to many well-preserved ancient and unique rare animals and plants, and one of the three biodiversity centers in China.
