In the Chinese Super League (CSL), Beijing Guoan went four points clear at the top of the table after a 3-1 win over Jiangsu Suning at the Workers' Stadium. The capital club still haven't tasted defeat since a 3-1 loss to Shandong on the opening day and thanks to goals from captain Zhang Xizhe, Lei Tenglong and Johnathan Viera, they could be on their way to their first CSL title since 2009.
Guoan hadn't beat Suning at home in the previous two seasons.
The home side took the lead after 22 minutes as Brazilian Renato Augusto cut inside the area to cross for Zhang, who slammed it home from close range.
