This is a big weekend in Thailand, as the nation officially crowns its first new monarch in nearly seven decades. The three-day event begins today. King Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as King Rama the 10th, was born on July 28, 1952. He is the only son of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit.
