Magnificent sunglow shines in SW China’s Chongqing

Friends and families in China are embarking on adventures during the National Day Holiday, which started Monday, with many visiting natural scenic spots.

Jinfo Mountain, located in Nanchuan district of southwest China's Chongqing, is one of them.

The mountain is renowned for its karstic topography, and shelters at least 2,997 types of plants. A total of 95 percent of the area is covered by forest. Therefore, many dub it the “Natural Gallery of Vegetation.”

Jinfo Mountain is also known for its varying meteorological landscape. In autumn, the sunset dyes the sky and mountains gold. Seen from a certain point of view, the mountain looks like a statue of Buddha. That's how it derived its name "Jinfo," which means "Golden Buddha."

Though there are pictures, the sunglow washing over a sea of clouds shrouding the mountain is a treat for the many flocking there to see it with their own eyes.
