The CBA's Fujian Sturgeons hosted the Beijing Ducks on Sunday. The capital club came in on a 13-game winning streak and needed one more to set a franchise record. But big performances from Wang Zhelin and Chen Linjian helped the Sturgeons come back in the fourth quarter to disappoint the Ducks.
The Ducks poured it on in the third quarter as Aron Jackson fed Zhu Yanxi who hit a corner three. And Zhu was going to drain another deep one to give Beijing a 21-point lead.
But Fujian started to wake up and Wang went hard to the rack for a two-hander later.
In the fourth quarter, Pooh Jeter sliced in for a lay-up that gave Fujian the lead at 67-66.
Wang's dominance on the boards continued to keep Fujian in front and they went on to win 83-76, ending Beijing's winning streak.
