Frenchman completes US tour on electric skateboard

Frenchman Fabrice Gropaiz has completed his journey across the United States on an electric skateboard, the first part of his World Tour.
Gropaiz left San Francisco on May 26 with his goal to reach Miami as quickly as possible. He reached the Florida city in late July after covering close to 4,000 kilometers on his electric skateboard.
On a trailer on the back of his skateboard were spare batteries, tools, a drone to capture video and other accessories.
This is not Gropaiz's first marathon trip – in 1999, he went around the world on roller skates.
Last year, he completed his own Tour de France on his electric skateboard.
The 48-year-old met his fair share of obstacles on the way, ranging from hostile-looking bulls to road closures.
But he was clearly delighted at going from coast to coast.
His next mission is back in Europe where he plans to travel from Paris to Moscow and on to the Ural Mountains.
