In China, there are over 2.6 million deputies to people's congress at different levels: national, provincial, municipal, county, and township.
Their responsibilities include attending sessions of the People's Congress at their level, supervising work of the government, doing research on issues related to people's livelihood, and proposing suggestions and draft laws.
Among all those must-dos, communicating with the general public, learning about their problems and reporting them to relevant government bodies are the basic responsibilities of the deputies.
